An introduction to our library service

The school library provides information and ideas that are fundamental to functioning successfully in today's information and knowledge-based society.

It offers learning services such as story-telling, books, educational games through internet and CD-ROMs, audio visual materials etc., that enable our students to become critical thinkers and effective users of information in all formats and media.   Students also are able to access the computerized library catalogue where they can search what is available in the library.

The library has a timetable for all class level.   Each class group gets 30-45 minutes session in the library to browse, read and borrow.

All children’s belongings (except for their library bag) should be left outside in the cubby holes.

All children are welcome to browse and read in the library, but once they have borrowed their book, they must leave the library.

Note:  Please make sure that you carry your books in a library bag to protect them.  If you don’t have one, please purchase one from the library.  Many of our books are damaged because students put them in their backpacks with drink bottles/food that leak and we are unable to clean/repair them. (DO NOT PUT YOUR WATER BOTTLE & FOOD IN THE LIBRARY BAG).

Each person is solely responsible for the books they borrow, so please do not lend library books to another student or siblings who may cause damage or lose the books.  It is recommended that students keep their library books in their library bags until home, so that they don’t forget them in the classroom or elsewhere.  Please help look after our library books so that everyone can enjoy nice clean books.
