Several MAC students will be competing in the International Young Physicist Tournament (IYPT) in Beijing, 19-26 July.  Henry Ha (F5), CK Leong (F5), Vincent Leong (F6) and Matthew To (F6) participated in the Preliminary IYPT Competition on 15 April. In the last week of June, the Primary section will celebrate its annual Story Week, which is an opportunity to promote excellence in literacy, showcase creativity, build camaraderie and foster individuality. Year groups have planned special activities in their classes highlighting the use of English and Putonghua languages through novels, fairytales, Bible stories, poems, games, projects, and art exhibitions. Our senior underwater robotics team, Fish Logic,  received second place in the Ranger Class competition in Hong Kong recently, and will now represent Macau at the MATE ROV International Underwater Robotics Competition in Seattle, USA from 20 June. We wish Fish Logic all the best.

On Friday, June 8 in the Hall on floor 3, there will be a showcase of all the after-school music ensembles at MAC - including the String Ensemble, Big Band, Vocal Group, Concert Band and Symphonic Wind Band. This is the culmination of this year's hard work in rehearsal, and is sure to be an amazing night!

On Saturday 26 May, MAC is hosting Faraday's Challenge, a science and engineering competition. Students are assigned a reality task and need to use their ideas and creativity to design a solution. This is the fourth time that MAC will have hosted this exciting competition, and for this year’s event six schools and ten teams have been invited to participate.

  On 20 May, MAC Robotic teams will join the interschool DSEJ robotic competition at the University of Macau. Our secondary students are participating in two categories: C-foot Robot Running and Bipad Robot Running.  The primary students will join in Robotic Horse Running (Individual) and Robotic Horse Running (Reply).

This coming Saturday, 3 May will be a big day in football for MAC, with three important games: Group D are playing for 3rd place against Escola Dos Moradores Do Bairro Do Patane at 2:00pm; Group C are playing for 3rd place against Yuet Wah at 4:00pm; and Group C are playing for the championship against EPM at 5:00pm. All games will be held in Hou Kong MIddle School on Macau side. Come and support our football teams this Saturday!

Our P1 students will have their assembly on Friday, 20 April, starting at 9am. The theme is 'Environment', and there will be awards for the Most Environmentally Friendly Class, and the Cleanest Class. MAC is aiming to be granted status as a 'Green School' in Macau, through achieving environmental sustainability in all our practices.

The work shadowing program gives Form 4 students a taste of a career area that interests them, and an introduction to the workplace. Our students are currently searching for organisations to host them for a placement on 21-22 June. Anyone who would like to host a student for work shadowing, please contact janeemery@acm.edu.mo

Friday 20 April is Fruit Day at MAC! Come along wearing your best and brightest fruit-coloured clothes, and share in the delicious free fruit.  Fun games and activities throughout the day for Kinder and Primary students, including fruity nail painting, origami, fruit races, a watermelon eating contest, and a photo booth.
